Leading airports in Japan 2023, by domestic freight volume

In 2023, Tokyo International Airport, commonly called Haneda Airport, handled approximately 478.2 thousand tons of freight on domestic flights, far more than any other airport in Japan. Naha Airport, located in Okinawa Prefecture, came second with around 182.36 thousand tons of cargo.
