Optimizing Observation Operators for Soil Moisture Data Assimilation: A Data-Driven Sensor Selection Framework Addressing Non-Normal Spatial Variability in the Tianjun Network

This dataset contains two files. The file "VWC_5cm_Avg_inter.csv" is the result of nearest neighbor interpolation for the missing values of sensors in the Tianjun network. The file "VWC_19era5.xlsx" represents the value of "Volumetric soil water layer 1" corresponding to the ERA5-land grid points covered by Tianjun Network.
