Detection of novel loci associated with fruit trait in Japanese apricot

Japanese apricot (Prunus mume) is a deciduous fruit tree species popular in Japan. Japanese apricot is mainly utilized for nutritional values in Japan, and usually large-sized fruits are preferred. In this study, we conducted extensive trait analyses mainly for fruit size to identify genetic factors.
