Supplementary Data file Mount Isa Smart City Readiness

This dataset provides the compiled secondary data used to support the manuscript titled “A Context-Sensitive Smart City Readiness Framework for Remote Resource-Dependent Cities: Tiered Benchmarking Evidence from Mount Isa, Australia.” The dataset includes the indicator values, benchmark values, source information, normalised scores, tier classifications, and explanatory notes used to assess Mount Isa’s smart city readiness across six dimensions: Smart Economy, Smart People, Smart Mobility, Smart Environment, Smart Living, and Smart Governance. No primary survey, experimental, confidential, or human-participant data are included. The dataset was compiled from publicly available secondary sources, including government reports, council documents, census records, infrastructure plans, environmental studies, benchmark reports, and peer-reviewed literature cited in the manuscript. Where direct local-scale data were limited or unavailable, proxy indicators are clearly identified in the dataset notes.
