RAE (Rainforest Automation Energy)

The Rainforest Automation Energy (RAE) dataset was developed to support smart grid researchers in testing algorithms that utilize smart meter data. The initial release of the RAE dataset contains 1Hz data from both the main and secondary meters of two residential households. In addition to electricity consumption data, ambient environmental and sensor data from the home thermostats are also included. For one of the two households, the secondary meter data encompasses captured data of heat pumps and rental suites, which are of significant interest to electric utilities.
