These files contain the source data for the decomposition analysis presented in "Drivers of increasing global crop production: a decomposition analysis". The raw data was sourced from the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
The file cropData.csv contains global crop data from 1961 to 2015 which has been prepared and aggregated as described in the paper. The file cropArea.csv contains aggregate global cropping area for each year during the same period.
