This cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) dataset of the white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) nucleocapsid complex is primarily intended for studies on the structure and function of the WSSV nucleocapsid, providing a structural biology foundation for elucidating the biological mechanisms underlying WSSV DNA storage and injection, as well as for the scientific prevention and control of this virus. This dataset was collected using a Titan Krios cryo-electron microscope at the Electron Microscopy Platform of the Qingdao National Oceanographic Center, and it records the structural density maps of each component of the WSSV nucleocapsid as well as the solved atomic models thereof.
