Rheumatoid arthritis UPLC-MS lipidomics

RA patients who were about to commence treatment with methotrexate (MTX) were selected from the Rheumatoid Arthritis Medication Study. Using European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) response criteria, 50 patients were categorized as good responders and 50 as non-responders at 6 months following the initiation of MTX treatment. Data on serum lipid levels were generated using UPLC-MS and supervised machine learning methods were used to predict a EULAR nonresponse.
