The Rural Electricity Subsidy Scheme was designed to provide financial assistance to enable electricity supply authorities to extend electricity supply to properties engaged in primary production or ancillary rural services. Each file contains the formal agreement, technical working papers (such as the number of poles required), and financial statements of the cost of work and the amount of the subsidy (which was calculated on the basis of a formula).
