Node name update of Parsimonious Composite Network v1.3 (PCNet v1.3, uuid: 4de852d9-9908-11e9-bcaf-0ac135e8bacf), which is derived from the original published PCNet (PCNet, uuid: f93f402c-86d4-11e7-a10d-0ac135e8bacf) Node names (gene symbols) were first updated using the HGNC search API to search for approved, previous, and alias symbols. Nodes that could not be mapped to a current Approved symbol were excluded. Approved symbols were then mapped to NCBI gene identifiers (Entrez Gene IDs) using the python implementation of MyGene.Info and the HCNG search API.
