This dataset is a collection of spore TEM (transmission electron microscopy) images. Spores are complex structures made up of several layers, including the core, cortex, coat, interspace, and exosporium. We develop an automated algorithm for segmenting and classifying layers in spore TEM images. In this dataset, we collected 384 training images and their corresponding labels. To validate the trained model, 50 test images were collected that are distinct from the training data set.
