Neocamacolaimus parasiticus is a marine parasitic nematode associated with polychaete worms. Neocamacolaimus belongs to the family Camacolaimidae within the order Plectida, whose members are mostly free-living. Given its close relationships to free-living species, Neocamacolaimus can be a reference for the research of the origin of parasitism in an aquatic environment. We present here a draft transcriptome obtained from a single post-parasitic juvenile individual of this species.
