This dataset introduces a document alignment corpus between the German Wikipedia and the children's dictionary Klexikon. The source texts within Wikipedia are composed in more complex language and considerably longer than those found in Klexikon, making it an ideal resource for both text summarization and text simplification applications. Indeed, prior research has thus far solely focused on either of these two resources independently, without conducting comprehensive studies that treat them as a unified joint task.
