Surface of Nassula aurea. Early endosomes and clathrin coated vesicles. One clathrin coated pit at the bottom of a parasomal sac is shown. TEM taken on 2/22/71 by M. Aihara with Hitachi HU11A operating at 50kV. Neg. 10,750X. Bar = 0.5µm. A print of the negative was scanned and processed in Photoshop. This image is best used for qualitative analysis. A high resolution image (CIL:7666) is available for quantitative analysis. Standard glutaraldehyde fixation followed by osmium tetroxide, dehydrated in alcohol and embedded in an epoxy resin. Microtome sections prepared at approximately 75nm.
