Beyond establishment: Growth trajectories and evolution of chlorosis in planted white spruce

This dataset contains tree-level growth, foliar nutrient concentrations, and chlorosis severity measurements collected from planted white spruce (Picea glauca) and black spruce (Picea mariana) in boreal forests Quebec, Canada. Data were collected from 2008 to 2021 within a randomized block design including different site preparation treatments (organic/humus, mineral soil, and mechanically mixed microsites).The dataset includes repeated measurements of individual trees nested within plots and blocks. Variables include tree height, diameter at breast height (DBH), chlorosis, mortality, foliar nutrient concentrations of N, P, K, Ca, and Mg, needle mass, leaf area index (LAI), and stand basal area components. These data support analyses of mid-term growth trajectories, nutritional status, and the drivers of chlorosis in planted white spruce in eastern boreal forest .
