This thesis provides a novel route to advance the polymer-cement composite's performance via Graphene-engineered modification. The discovered antifoaming mechanism of Graphene oxide controls the air-entraining phenomenon of redispersible polymer and significantly enhances the performance of nano-engineered polymer cement composites. This research disclosed that unveiled antifoaming effect of the graphene oxide nanosheets introduces a new mechanism and provides a breakthrough for the efficient fabrication of advanced smart hybrid cementitious materials.
