Detecting the specific nutrient components to enrich Desulfovibrio using 16S rRNA sequencing method

To detect the specific nutrient components to enrich Desulfovibrio, we firstly attempted to uncover the effects of 16 often used nutrient components during anaerobic cultivation of human gut microbes. The 16 nutrient components were divided into 3 groups according to their functions. They were added as electron donor, electron acceptor and growth factor respectively. We devised one medium for each nutrient component being investigated according to its group. We also devised control medium correspondingly. The only difference between the medium with each nutrient component and the control medium was that the former contained the nutrient component we wanted to study. Thus, we designed a single factor experiment to learn the effect of each nutrient component on culture community.
