Sustainable Production Chain of Nigella sativa L. in Türkiye: Farm-Level Dataset
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains farm-level data from 75 Nigella sativa L. (black cumin) producing farms in Yozgat Province, Türkiye. The data were collected through face-to-face interviews conducted in May–June 2025 and refer to the 2024 production season. The dataset covers socio-economic characteristics of farm households, land use, production practices, input use, production costs, revenues, marketing channels, fixed-oil extraction and selected production constraints. Farm-level observations are anonymized and contain no direct personal identifiers. The farm sample was classified into three groups according to Nigella sativa cultivated area: Group I (≤0.50 ha), Group II (>0.50–≤1.50 ha), and Group III (>1.50 ha), comprising 5, 15 and 55 farms, respectively. Monetary variables are reported in Turkish Lira (TRY). For consistency with the associated manuscript, an exchange rate of 1 USD = 35.87 TRY was used for monetary conversions. The dataset is provided together with variable definitions and coding information to facilitate interpretation and reproducibility of the analyses reported in the associated research article. The study received ethical approval from the Yozgat Bozok University Social and Human Sciences Ethics Committee (Approval No. 25/162), and informed consent was obtained from participants.
