Novel Nanomaterials for Absorption and Decomposition of Oil and Dispersed Oil

Photocatalysis phenomena in TiO2 have been intensively explored for its potential application in envriomental remediation. We have synthesized novel Ag-nanoparticles-modified bamboo-type TiO2 nanotube arrays for improved photocatalytic degradation of organics in aqueous solution. To investigate morphology, structure, composition, and photocatalytic degradation efficiency of the as-prepared nanomaterials, we have obtained electron microscopy images, X-ray diffraction (XRD) data, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) data, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) data, and UV-Vis spectroscopy data.
