资源简介:
The Puget Sound Water Quality Authority (PSWQA) is responsible for
developing, adopting and overseeing the implementation of a water
quality management plan for Puget Sound. The Department of Ecology,
which adopts some of PSWQA's ideas, began investigative work in 1987
to monitor Columbia River dischargers to ensure they are consistent
with the PSWQA demands for marine waters. The particular focus of this
investigation was to confirm the impact of the Camas Mill's wastewater
discharge on Columbia River sediments (Young 1989). This study is a
follow up on the Young (1988) study which initially sampled the
outfall area in 1988.
The area of study was the Lower Columbia River-Camas.
Procedures followed those in the 16th Ed. of Standards Methods and
corresponding EPA publication.
Target analytes were Metals (Sb, As, Ba, Be, B, Cd, Ca, Cr, Cu, Pb,
Mn, Hg, Ni, Se, Ag, TI, Sn and Zn), organics (PCB, pesticides,
volatiles) and TOC. All data are reported on a dry weight basis.
The information for this metadata was taken from the Columbia River
Basin: Sediment Database Abstracts.
