To enrich the RNA virus database in the parasitoid wasps, we performed transcriptome sequencing of the endoparasitoid wasp Cotesia chilonis (Hymenoptera: Braconidae). C. chilonis were collected in the rice fields from 17 locations covering 6 provinces, autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government in China from 2022 to 2023
