ORG.one project - Hippocamelus antisensis, endangered species, sequenced as part of the 1000 Chilean Genome project

Rapid sequencing of the critically endangered Hippocamelus antisensis as part of the ORG.one project, https://org.one/oo The 1000 Chilean Genomes (1000GCh) initiative is the first national project aimed at uncovering the unique features of the DNA of species that are characteristic and representative of Chile. One of the target species of this project is the Hippocamelus antisensis, a species classified as endangered by the IUCN. Thanks to the support of the ORG.one project, we successfully conducted long-read sequencing using the PromethION platform. 1000 Genomes Chile - Data Policy. 1000GCh reserves the right to conduct global analyses across the obtained genomes and publish the results in the scientific literature. Additionally, 1000GCh is committed to ensuring that the produced data is shared promptly and with as few restrictions as possible. The raw sequencing data of Hippocamelus antisensis is already available, following the ORG.one project requirements. However, the right to the first presentation held by 1000GCh as the data producer must be respected. The first presentation refers exclusively to peer-reviewed scientific journal publications and preprints, such as those on bioRxiv. It may also include genome-level analyses, such as phylogenetic studies, selection signatures, introgression, and other evolutionary analyses. A three-year embargo period applies from the date raw genome data are released in the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA) or from the publication of the genome by 1000 Genomes Chile, whichever occurs first. Once the embargo is lifted due to publication, the genome assembly will be updated to include the publication citation. In all cases, any studies utilising these genomes must cite the relevant persons or publications responsible for the genome. For more details, visit 1000genomas.cl.
