Last data update: October 10, 2019 Aquatic plant biomass in Lake Simcoe, 2018. Layer displays interpolation analysis of total dry weight biomass (grams per square metre) of aquatic plants in Lake Simcoe. Samples were collected from 245 sites by petite Ponar grab (quantitative analysis) or lake rake / anchor toss (qualitative analysis). Plants were identified to species, dried, and biomass determined. Inverse Distance Weighting interpolation on total biomass was used to generate GIS layer.
