We report abnormal pregnancy outcomes in mice lacking NKG2A, including altered placental transcription. In humans, we find HLAB-21T snp to be associated with an increased risk of pre-eclampsia. Overall design: We compared placental mRNA expression at E15.5 in genetically-matched fetuses who were closest to their litter mean weight, from Klrc1-/- and C57BL/6 dams. Samples were run in 2 batches, with a SAVANT correction for batch effect.
