资源简介:
Recurrent respiratory tract infections (RRTIs) can seriously affect the physical and mental health and life quality of children. The goal of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. Lactis XLTG11 and Lactobacillus plantarum CCFM8661, as an adjunct to the treatment of RRTIs in children. Eligible children with RRTIs were randomized into intervention groupand control group and given probiotics or placebo for 3 months, respectively. The primary outcome measure was treatment efficacy. Fecal gut microbiota analyses were used to assess the changes in gut microbiota profiles based on 16S information. Plasma levels of immunity biomarkers such as immunoglobulins (IgA, IgG and IgM) and complement components (C3 and C4) were determined.
