human cohort studies of amiodarone induced gut microbial disorder

amiodarone is a antiarrhythmic drug and widely used worldwide, but it can cause liver injury. Increasing evidence supports the role of the gut microbiota as a key player in the process of liver damage. We recruited 20 participants with arrhythmia and taking amiodarone for 90 days, and collected stool samples on 0 day, 4 day, 14 day, 30 day and 90 day. Shotgun Metagenomic Sequencing analysis was used to assess the potential changes in gut microbiome.
