Dataset describing homology structures of ribosomal protein L36 of different microbial species

Ribosome comprises close interactions
between an ensemble of ribosomal proteins with ribosomal RNA. Such interactions
not only define the structure of the macromolecular complex, but it also
regulates its function. As in many areas of biological research, structure of
ribosomal proteins dictates their function. This dataset describes the
structure of ribosomal protein L36 of different microbial species. Structure of
protein was obtained through homology modelling via the Phyre2
server with amino acid sequence coming from UniProt proteome file of the
species. Overall, the data presented in this work should be of use in gaining a
deeper understanding of the structural features of this small ribosomal protein
across different microbial species as well as their evolutionary trajectories.
