Frequency of digital payment services usage in Africa 2023, by gender

In 2023, digital payment services were employed daily by 15 percent of men and 20 percent of women living in Africa. On the other hand, they were used weekly by 51 percent of women and 46 percent of men. Overall, instant payment systems are most popular in East Africa.
