Replication data for study on the multigenerational consequences of size for Aphis nerii

Data collected for manuscript on the multigenerational consequences of body size for reproduction and phenotype in milkweed aphid, <i>Aphis nerii</i>. Aphids were reared under variable conspecific density conditions and on plants of varying quality, across three generations. We investigated whether the influence of the contemporary environment (density &amp; plant quality) or the maternal environment (again, density &amp; plant quality) is more important for aphid growth &amp; reproduction. This experiment was conducted under stable greenhouse conditions on clones generated from a single aphid mother, reared on milkweed plants propagated from seeds from a single plant.
