List of definitions that help clarify the term "Information and analytical competence of a library specialist"

Definition of terms is an important methodological basis for the formation of theoretical provisions and practice in library activities. To clarify the term "Information and analytical competence of a library specialist", a source base was collected consisting of more than 30 different documents in which definitions were found that allow us to clarify the sought concept (Table 1). In total, the researcher selected 36 definitions. Of course, this list is not exhaustive.

The study was carried out according to the principle “from the general to the specific”, i.e. with the analysis of related definitions, for example, “Information activity”, “Information and analytical activity”, “Information service”, “Information competence”, “Analytical competence”, “Information and analytical competence of a specialist in the field of education”, etc.
