The one direction highway D1, from Prague to Rikovice, Czech Republic.

This dataset contains geometrical road-segment sequences extracted from the Czech Republic’s D1 highway (Prague → Říkovice) and the corresponding counts of road accidents. Each sequence consists of 30 consecutive sectors, where each sector represents a 10-meter segment of the highway. Thus, one complete sequence corresponds to a 300-meter roadway section, which was empirically determined as the optimal length for capturing curved segments and other geometrical features relevant to accident risk.

Sequences were generated using a sliding window with a step size of 1, resulting in a total of 26,630 overlapping sequences along the D1 highway. For each sector, the number of historical road accidents occurring within that 10-meter segment was summarised and used as the target label for the sequence.

This dataset supports the paper “A Neural Network–Based Framework for Identifying Hazardous Road Segments Using Geometrical Road Attributes.”
