Small RNA-seq of breast tumor biopsies prior to treatment with letrozole or letrozole with bevacizumab

Biopsies were collected from post-menopausal women with ER+ HER2- breast cancer who were subsequently treated with either letrozole or letrozole plus bevacizumab. In one arm of the trial, the women received letrozole. In the other arm they received letrozole plus bevacizumab. Clinical responses were collected . Small RNA-seq was performed on biopsy isolated RNA and the abundances correlated to clinical outcomes. A classifier model for response to the combination therapy was derived. Patient outcome definitions: CR_DS = Complete Response and Down Staged DS = Down Staged PD = Progressed Disease PR = Partial Response PR_DS = Partial Response and Down Staged SD = Stable Disease
