Our experiment is a laboratory-controlled soil incubation. This experiment includes 9 types of soil. The experimental organic fertilizer is cattle manure. The incubation lasted 180 days, and included one soil control and four treatments with different manure application strategies. The study goals of our experiment include understanding the survivals of manure microorganisms in soil, uncovering the mechanisms of substituting chemical fertilizers by organic fertilizers, as well as explaining the outcomes of asymmetric coalescence between soil and manure microbial communities.
