Deep sea marine biology sampling in the Horizon Deep (10770 m) and the Kermadec and Tonga Trenches to study physiology at great depth and low temperature. Sampling includes temperature, free vehicle traps, SOLO floats, pressure vessels and midwater trawls, and multicorers. Samples include microorganisms, amphipods and fish.
