Asphalt concrete high-quality images

Dataset containing high-quality (4000x6000 pixels) images of  asphalt concrete AC16 specimens. The images can serve as the input for the digital microstructure recognition using the image processing. After transferring the geometry to the vector graphics, it can be further processed for the purposes of the numerical modeling. A controlled geometry simplification can facilitate finite element analysis due to NDOF reduction.

Provided dataset was used for the asphalt concrete digital microstructure recognition within the National Science Center (in Polish: Narodowe Centrum Nauki) project MINIATURA 5, DEC-2021/05/X/ST8/00682. Financial support of the National Science Center (Poland) is kindly acknowledged.
