Huanglongbing is the most destructive disease in the citrus industry. With a history longer than one decade, the disease is very difficult to control. Heat treatment is a method proved to be relatively positive. So far, little is known about the molecular mechanism of the citrus or HLB-affected citrus response to heat treatment. Solexa/Illumina's digital gene expression (DGE) analysis is an effective method for large-scale transcriptomic analysis using second generation sequencing in plant-stress interaction. The DGE method was used to study the molecular pathways of the same mandarin seedlings in responding to heat treatment, aiming at obtaining a better understanding of host-pahtogen interaction theory after the thermotherapy process.
