VPRS 1652 Outward Letter Book, Survey Office, Port Albert (formerly Palmerston)

This series consists of transcripts of correspondence and memoranda sent by the Draughtsman in Charge located at Port Albert. Correspondence was addressed to both officials of the Department of Crown Lands and Survey (VA 538) in Melbourne and to local correspondents as well as the District Surveyor at Sale.Matters dealt with included survey reports, reports regarding land sales, schedules of lands to be available for selection, applications for licences to occupy and leases, appointment of contract surveyors and matters regarding actions by the Crown Lands Bailiff as well as administrative matters such as requisitions.At the back of the volume are lists of plans sold, list of plans received from the Surveyor-General and lists of lithographic plans in hand at various dates.
