Litchi fruit is appreciated by customers because of their characteristic red, which is mainly attributed to anthocyanins accumulation. Light is one of the key environmental factors that affect the anthocyanin biosynthesis. To better understand the mechanism involved in light regulated anthocyanins biosynthesis in litchi pericarp, a transcriptomic analyses based onIllumina sequencing was carried out.
