Pre-eruptive earthquake swarms at Piton de la Fournaise volcano (2014-2018)

Catalog of shallow earthquakes during pre-eruptive seismicity swarms at Piton de la Fournaise volcano between 2014 and 2018. The catalog includes origin times and hypocenter locations of events detected using a template matching approach and relocated using HypoDD. Earthquake are mostly located above sea level on a ring fault structure. Only a portion of this structure is seismically activated before each eruption, which provides an indication as to the direction of the future eruptive site. Available in QuakeML and csv formats (one file for the entire catalog).
