This paper presents a structured Software Architecture Catalog for Fault-Tolerant Containerized Systems. It addresses the lack of a structured understanding of diverse fault tolerance architectures in containerized environments. The research identifies and systematically validates the presence of five primary fault tolerance tactics in the state of the art: restart, replacement, checkpoint, replication, and migration. These tactics are modeled using BPMN to represent their operational flows. The catalog incorporates an enhanced post-fault diagnostics and offline healing flow to complement online tactics, and offers actionable architectural patterns, providing a consolidated resource for designing more robust containerized applications.
