Forest converted to oil palm plantation in Indonesia

The database contains historical information on the extent of forestland converted into estate crop plantations, mainly oil palm plantations. The database is organized by district and province where converted forestlands are located. It lists the names of companies applying for permits for conversion and forestry ministerial’s decrees (number and the issuance date of approval letter) that serve as legal basis for the conversion. The area of forestlands converted is expressed in hectare.
