资源简介:
The aim of this study was to determine mechanisms by which an omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acid, EPA, prevents diet-induced obesity and inflammation in white adipose tissue. Specifically, using RNA sequencing, we determined global changes in gene expression in epididymal adipose tissue from C56BL/6J mice fed high fat diets (45% kcal from fat) with or without EPA (36g/kg diet). Mice fed the high fat diet with EPA exhibited significantly lower body weight, fat mass and reduced adipose and systemic inflammation (Kalupahana et al., J. Nutr. 2010 and Lemieux et al., J. Nutr. 2015.
