Ecophysiological responses - biomass (above and belowground and leaf area), nutrition (soil and leaf), reproduction (flowering time and biomass), leaf area growth, and gas exchange (photosynthesis, stomatal conductance, water use efficiency) - of 13 early successional species to maple sawdust charcoal soil amendments.
