This study takes human adipose tissue as the object. The RNAseq data was used to investigate gene expression. We also identified PEIs (promoter and enhancer interactions) using the Hi-C data. We investigated the correlation between the expression level and PEIs numbers, and also revealed the evolutionary divergence of gene expression attributed by PEIs across species.
