Transcriptomics of viruliferous and non-viruliferous Bemisia tabaci MEAM1

This study was performed to enhance our understanding of the whitefly transcriptional response to Begomovirus acquisition and identify potential targets for the development of whitefly control technologies. Adult whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci MEAM1) were allowed to feed on TYLCV-infected and uninfected tomato plants for three time points. RNA was extracted from batches of experimental whiteflies at each time point and differential expression analyses were conducted.
