TEAMx ceilometer data, Kolsass, Austria
收藏资源简介:
The data contains atmospheric profiles generated by a Campbell Scientific SkyVue 8 ceilometer. The file follows the CF-1.8 (Climate and Forecast) conventions. The dataset is organized in daily files. Summary Origin & Location: The data was recorded at a site in Kolsass, Austria. Processing Software: The file was created using CloudnetPy (v1.87.3) and ceilopyter (v0.2.0). These are specialized Python libraries used to convert raw instrument signals into standardized "Cloudnet" lidar products. Core Data Products: The dataset provides three versions of the Attenuated Backscatter Coefficient (β): Raw: The initial signal. Screened: Filtered for a Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) >5. Smooth: Further refined using a Gaussian 2D-kernel filter Spatial & Temporal Grid: The data maps atmospheric returns across two main dimensions: Time (UTC) and Range (distance from the instrument). It also includes a height variable to translate range into altitude above mean sea level. Variable overview: Variable Name Long Name Comment Unit time Time UTC — hours since 00:00 UTC range Range from instrument Distance from instrument to centre of each range bin. m beta_raw Attenuated backscatter coefficient Non-screened attenuated backscatter coefficient. sr^-1 m^-1 calibration_factor Attenuated backscatter calibration factor Calibration factor applied. 1 zenith_angle Zenith angle Angle to the local vertical. A value of zero is directly overhead. degree beta Attenuated backscatter coefficient SNR-screened attenuated backscatter coefficient. SNR threshold applied: 5. sr^-1 m^-1 beta_smooth Attenuated backscatter coefficient SNR-screened; Weak background smoothed using Gaussian 2D-kernel. sr^-1 m^-1 height Height above mean sea level — m wavelength Laser wavelength — nm altitude Altitude of site Source: site coordinates m
