PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersant for papermaking， which imparts excellent dispersibility when making an inorganic fiber or an organic fiber. SOLUTION: This invention provides a dispersant for papermaking of the inorganic fiber or the organic fiber contains a polyether ester compound having a mass average molecular weight of 1000-200000 and composed of 0.1-50 mol% of a predetermined structural unit A and 50-99.9 mol% of a predetermined structural unit B. A dispersion composition for papermaking containing the dispersant for papermaking and inorganic fibers or organic fibers is also provided. SELECTED DRAWING: None
