The Commissioner, Alexander Oliver, conducted inquiries into various matters affecting the Island - the best means of securing production of the most suitable exports; shipping facilities; the commodities the island was best adapted to producing; the alleged illegal occupation of Crown Lands; the occupation of Government buildings; the best means of exterminating noxious weeds; the effect of the law preventing the seizure of land for debt; and, the landing places. Commissioner Oliver, the President of the Land Appeal Court of New South Wales, was acting in execution of a Royal Commission dated 29 August 1903 from the Governor of New South Wales.This volume was kept by His Excellency the Governor Vice Admiral Sir Harry Rawson K.C.B.(7/4121). 1 vol.
