IMPROVEMENT OF HARDFACING TECHNOLOGY FOR CRUSHER SHAFTS BY WELDING OVERLAY

Crusher shafts are among the most critical components of stone crushing equipment and operate under severe abrasive, impact, and cyclic loading conditions. Continuous exposure to hard mineral particles leads to intensive wear of shaft surfaces, resulting in reduced operational efficiency, increased maintenance costs, and shortened service life. One of the most effective methods for restoring and improving the wear resistance of crusher shafts is welding overlay hardfacing technology. This article examines the technological aspects of hardfacing crusher shafts, analyzes the factors influencing wear resistance, and proposes methods for improving the hardfacing process. The study demonstrates that the use of alloyed filler materials, optimized welding parameters, and multilayer hardfacing techniques significantly enhances the durability and operational performance of crusher shafts.
