Raw experimental data for: Apparent cannibalism in larvae of Satyrium formosanum: effects of density, starvation, temperature and food availability
收藏资源简介:
This record contains the raw experimental data supporting the manuscript entitled Apparent cannibalism in larvae of Satyrium formosanum: effects of density, starvation, temperature and food availability. The dataset includes two laboratory assays on larvae of Satyrium formosanum: Temperature–density experimentThird- and fourth-instar larvae were tested under different temperatures (15, 20, 25, 30, and 35°C), larval densities (1, 5, 10, 20, and 40 larvae per box), and feeding treatments (food present or food absent) over 24 h. Starvation–density experimentThird- and fourth-instar larvae were subjected to different starvation durations (0, 6, 12, 24, and 48 h) at 25°C and then tested under different larval densities (1, 5, 10, 20, and 40 larvae per box). The Excel file contains two worksheets: temp_density_24h: raw data from the temperature–density experiment hunger_25c: raw data from the starvation–density experiment Variables include replicate number, larval instar, food treatment, temperature, larval density, starvation duration, initial larval number, surviving larvae, apparent cannibalism-associated loss, and apparent cannibalism rate. A README file is included to explain the file structure, experimental design, and variable definitions. These data were used for statistical analyses and figure generation in the associated manuscript.
